From the Village of Vinci to the Town of Veliko Gradiste and the Lake of Srebrno Jezero for a week already there has been depositing of poisonous dust spread by strong wind from waste storage of the ‘Moldova Noua’, a Romanian copper and zinc mine. This dust contains copper, zinc, mangan and lead and doctors warn that these substances, especially lead, might be very dangerous for the health of people. The waste storage is located on an island in the Danube, 12 kilometers away from Veliko Gradiste....more...
