Kosovan admits shooting US airmen at Frankfurt airport

A Kosovo man has told a German court he regrets shooting dead two US servicemen at Frankfurt airport and does not understand why he did it.

Arid Uka, 21, told the court he had been radicalised by jihadist propaganda videos he watched online.

Croatian ex-Premier Ivo Sanader charged with corruption

The authorities in Croatia have charged former Prime Minister Ivo Sanader with corruption over a loan he negotiated in 1995.

He is alleged to have received a kickback worth nearly $695,000 (£425,000; 480,000 euros) for the loan from the Austrian bank Hypo.

He is said to have facilitated Hypo's entry into the Croatian market....more...

Serbs in northern Kosovo have begun dismantling roadblocks set up amid increased tensions over two border crossings between Serbia and Kosovo.
Last month Kosovo's mainly ethnic Albanian government sent paramilitary police to seize the two crossings.
After a two-week stand-off with Nato-led peacekeepers, a deal has now been reached to allow Nato to control the border crossings....more....

Montenegro to bury remains of German war dead

Germany and Montenegro have signed an agreement on burying the remains of German soldiers killed during World War II.
The agreement was reached during a visit to the Balkan state by the German Foreign Minister, Guido Westerwelle.
