The Belgrade Higher Court accepted the plea bargain between the prosecution and one of Serbia's most popular singers, Svetlana Ceca Raznatovic, according to which she is obligated to pay 1.5m euros and spend eight months under house arrest. The flamboyant folk singer Svetlana Raznatovic, better known as Ceca, will spend eight months under house arrest and pay a €1.5m (£1.3m) fine as part of a plea bargain approved by a court in Belgrade yesterday.

Raznatovic, known for her plunging necklines and marriage to a notorious Serb warlord, struck a deal with prosecutors in which she pleaded guilty to embezzlement over the sale of footballers from her late husband's club, FK Obilic Belgrade.
