Serbia is on the right track towards the EU but it needs to speed up reforms and achieve full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, the president of the European Commission said on Thursday.

After meeting with top Serbian officials on Thursday night, EC President Jose Manuel Barroso said that Belgrade needs to fulfill these conditions in order to achieve EU candidate status by the end of the year.
