Prisoners in Kosovo's Dubrava jail are carrying on a hunger strike, demanding a new amnesty law that foresees a greater number of releases than the current law on pardons.

Only 40 of approximately 800 prisoners in Kosovo's Dubrava jail are not on hunger strike, and they are all "determined to continue the hunger strike until our request is realised,” a source from the prison's strike council told Balkan Insight....more...
