Calls by local politicians to diminish the international presence in Kosovo have become increasingly vocal in recent days, as state bodies consider changes to the country's constitution.

Arsim Bajrami, an MP from the ruling PDK who heads a state commission on constitutional reform, said that according to the Ahtisaari Plan for Kosovo's independence, Pristina should assess the need for continued international presence three years after the declaration of independence, which was made in February 2008....more...
