RTS’s belated and qualified apology for its diet of "insults, slander and hate speech" in the Nineties, under Slobodan Milosevic, does not go to the heart of the matter.

The sudden apology by the board of Radio Television Serbia, RTS, to people at home and abroad in the 1990s who were “subjected to insults, libel and content that would correspond with today’s legal definition of hate speech”, has caught the public by surprise.
Their surprise was wholly to be expected, for the repair work to the Serbian media’s image was carried out quite a while ago....more....
