Early in the morning of June 28, 1969 police raided a small gay club in New York. In those days such raids were frequent, but what happened that night was not usual. People in the club showed resistance and two days of unrest and protests that followed were reaction by oppressed people and an introduction into a contemporary movement for rights of sexual minorities. ...more....
