As the Serbian government's Lear jet carrying Ratko Mladic to The Hague left Belgrade on Tuesday (May 31st), perceptions of him as a Serbian legend seemed to change.Many Serbs saw in Mladic a powerful warrior-hero who protected his people from slaughter.
