IN SPITE OF EU ADOPTION OF LAW ON RESTITUTION IS NOT BEING SPEEDED UP

The agony of owners deprived of their property during the WWII and now waiting for adoption of the law on restitution has been going on for more than ten years. Not even pressure by the EU which is insisting on passing of that law has made Serbian Government respect the deadlines. Thus the June deadline was postponed for the autumn. Although the Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic claims that there is serious work going on regarding the draft law, details of the text are completely unknown to the public except that it shall suggest combination of material and financial compensation....more....
