The growing external debt, which early this year peaked at 60 per cent of country’s GDP, is worrying some economists.

Latest data from the Central Bank in the first quarter of 2011 say Macedonia’s external debt reached some 4.47 billion euros, or 60 percent of GDP.
Of that figure, about 22 percent is debt owed by the state while the private sector makes up 38 per cent....more....
