TURKEY’S prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has a knack for getting his way. Kemal Kilicdaroglu, leader of the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP), had vowed that he and his colleagues would not be sworn in until two jailed members who won seats in a general election on June 12th were freed.
