Montenegro is set to roll out its census today, as religious and ethnic group leaders make last minute appeals for citizens to declare their preferred identity. Bojana Barlovac.

Montenegro's many ethnic groups have put up billboards on the streets of Podgorica and run TV commercials calling on their compatriots to declare their preferred ethnicity in the census. The atmosphere in the capital in the weeks leading up to the census is reminiscent of the pre-referendum atmosphere in 2006, when Montenegro voted to separate from Serbia...more...
