Bulgaria Turns to GPS to Combat Railway Diesel Theft

Bulgaria's Transport Ministry has resorted to installing GPS devices on locomotives to counter the theft of diesel by railway workers.

Bulgarian Transport Minister Alexander Tsvetkov on Thursday presented the GPS devices, which have been installed on all 138 diesel locomotives in Bulgaria in an effort to cut down on fuel theft, which has caused substantial losses for the state-owned railway company BDZ, the firm says....more...
