A former Serbian general and chief of staff of the Yugoslav army has been jailed for 27 years by the International Criminal Tribunal for his part in the killings of 8,000 Muslims at Srebrenica in 1995.
Momcilo Perisic was convicted of aiding and abetting war crimes and crimes against humanity in relation to the massacre at Srebrenica and of dropping cluster bombs on the Croatian capital Zagreb a year later.
