Bosnia: Bones of War Victims Found

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS Published: August 11, 2010
Workers draining an artificial lake for dam maintenance have found 60 partial skeletons, officials said Wednesday. Amor Masovic, the director of the Bosnian Institute for Missing Persons, said that the victims were killed at the beginning of the 1992-95 war, thrown into the Drina River, which divides Bosnia from Serbia, and drifted into Lake Perucac. More than 1,000 Bosnian Muslims disappeared from the area near Visegrad when Serbian forces took control in 1992.
