Several decades ago people were going to church secretly since then actual politics was forbidding it. Today, however, politicians are going to church only if television cameras are on. Coqueting but also abuse of the Church is a part of folklore of today’s political scene. Demonstrating publicly that they have good relations with the Serbian Orthodox Church politicians are trying to take the advantage of the influence that the Church has among the people.
